Kids don’t play soccer for the glory. They don’t sweat and get sweated on for the fame, the money, or the women. They play soccer because its fun! So whether you are a young coach who’s only just teaching soccer practice drills or a grizzled, gnarled veteran, pay special attention to the soccer practice drills you have your kids learn.

If you’re coaching a group of adults, your focus would be on bringing home the bacon. Not so for those soccer practice drills you have devised for your little league! The only way you can get the little boys in the team to get good at scoring is to make their soccer practice drills both educational and entertaining.

Here are some soccer practice drills to help your kids reach soccer success.

BALL MASTERY: He who controls the ball controls the game. Teach your kids to use the ball as they would an extra hand.

FIRST TOUCH: Controlling the ball is not enough. Your bonus must learn where to put it, too! First touch drills should show them how to focus on first touch.

SPEED:
If your team can run faster, move quicker, and react speedier, they could surely bring home the trophy.

There are many more soccer practice drills you can have your team try. Remember, though, that to kids, it’s not so much the game that matters, it’s how the game is learned and played.
